New Member on the Winterville Police Force to Take Bite Out of Crime

She's the newest member of the Winterville Police Department. Meet "Officer Dyna."

Dyna is an English Labrador Retriever was sworn in Tuesday, where she will now assist the Winterville police force as well as the Greenville Police Department and the Pitt County Sheriff's office.

This K-9 has already proven her value in fighting the war on drugs. Since September, she has recovered a substantial amount of drugs off the streets of Winterville.

Chief Billy Wilkes says fighting drugs is just a part of what she will combat.

In recognition of J&E Harley Davidson's donation that paid for nearly a third of the dog, they were asked to give her a name. They decided to name her after their favorite Harley Davidson motorcycle.
