The Thanksgiving holiday is coming to an end, and folks are hitting the roads, rails and skies to return home.
Triple-A estimates 31 million Americans drove at least 50 miles from home this holiday weekend. That means the ride home will take a little longer and highway patrolmen will definitely be on the lookout for speeders. Beaufort County Highway Patrol Troopers have already set up decoys to prompt drivers to slow down. Troopers say not only are drivers at a higher risk for wrecks this holiday weekend, but so is law enforcement.
Make sure you give law enforcement plenty of room if you see them pulled over on the road. Highway patrolmen say they have already handed out 400 citations this weekend.
