20 Year Anniversary Of The Be-lo Murders In Windsor

Today marks 20 years since one of the most brutal murders in State history...a case that to this day remains unsolved.

June 6th 1993 was a Sunday, the day a man in the Be-lo grocery store in Windsor in Bertie County used duct tape to bind six victims. Authorities say the killer stacked the bound people in three piles and then fired his gun.

Three of the people were shot to death, while two others were left for dead. A sixth person was amazingly not hurt.

After all these years, a 30 thousand dollar reward is still being offered for information leading to an arrest in the Be-lo murders. The number for the Windsor Police Department is 252-794-3111.
