2 Charged With Camp Lejeune, Onslow County Drug Trafficking

The Onslow County Sheriff's Office says a teenager and a woman have been arrested on a long list of drug trafficking charges after an investigation of a drug operation that included activity on Camp Lejeune. The Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service aboard Camp Lejeune ended a three month investigation Thursday with the arrests of 52-year-old Shelly Chambers and 17-year-old Hatem Goodam after a controlled purchase of over 100 oxycodone pills and marijuana.

Goodam of Hubert was arrested for the following 14 charges and his bond was set at $605,000.

Conspire to Traffick Opium

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Possession with Intent Manufacture, Sell and Deliver Marijuana
Sell Marijuana
Deliver Marijuana
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Chambers also of Hubert was arrested on the following 11 Charges and her bond was set at $535,000.

Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance

The Onslow County Sheriff's Office says additional criminal charges are expected.
