The Sudan Shriners are all for providing hospital care to severely burned and crippled children.
This weekend a celebration of their hard work was heard through out the streets of Kinston. Thousands of members, families and friends gathered for a parade in Lenoir County Saturday. Even the highest ranking Sudan Shrine official, Tommy Boyd, joined in on the festivities. Next year Lenoir County Shriners say the baton to lead the organization will be handed off to one of their own, so the parade will likely be held in Kinston in the next couple of years.
