Armed robberies, assaults, and home invasions. They've all happened in Greenville within the past week. But is crime really high there? The numbers show it's actually on the way down. At a press conference Friday morning, the Greenville and ECU Police departments released numbers that show there have been 400 fewer incidents reported between January and November of this year compared to the same time last year. Police say they wanted to release that information so that people will know crime has not gone rampant in the city of Greenville, despite the recent high profile cases. While crime is on the way down, there has been a slight increase in assaults, robberies and homicides.
