She's a star attraction and so is the entertainment complex her brother is building in northeastern North Carolina.
Country Music Star Dolly Parton, brother Randy and sister Stella were in Roanoke Rapids Friday for a groundbreaking ceremony. An estimated 10,000 people were there to see Dolly and some Grand Ole Opry stars.
The complex will be called the Randy Parton Theater, Carolina Crossroads Music and Entertainment District. The entertainment district once built will bring over 12,000 jobs and pump an estimated $500 million into the regional and state economy.
Dolly spoke about the confidence she has in her brother Randy to lead this endeavor.
Phase one of the entertainment district is scheduled to open in April of 2007.
