Saturday was all about donning the walking shoes, but Sunday folks laced up the bowling shoes to raise money for diabetes.
Bowling shoes were gliding on the hardwood at the AMF Bowling Alley in Greenville Sunday as part of the ACE Bowl-A-Thon, a fundraiser for diabetes testing supplies and medicines. The fundraiser is put on every year by students at the Brody School of Medicine, and had students, teachers, and community members bowling for dollars.
The event also had diabetes screenings, and blood level checks. There were also booths about staying healthy and fit in an area known for having a high diabetic population.
