The body of a man who jumped out of a boat and into the water in Halifax County has been found.
The Halifax County Sheriff's Office says Ricaedo Trejo told a friend he was hot, and jumped out of the boat on a farm pond on Highway 48 in Littleton on Sunday. The sheriff's office says Trejo surfaced once and hollered for help but never resurfaced.
Officials searched for Trejo all day Sunday before locating his body Monday. It is unclear if the victim knew how to swim. Foul play is not suspected at this time.
