Home sweet home. That's what one Durham couple is saying now that they're back in the state after being stranded in Mexico following Hurricane Wilma. And that's a big relief for their parents in Carteret County. Charles and Tiffany Kiefer finally left the hurricane ravaged Yucatan Peninsula two nights ago and arrived back in the Triangle area Wednesday afternoon. For almost a week, the newlyweds were stuck in a shelter for hurricane evacuees, trying to figure out a way to get home. Thankfully, the Mexican government provided an airplane to fly the couple and other stranded Americans to Dallas, Texas. Although their honeymoon was ruined by Hurricane Wilma, the Kiefers say their faith helped them overcome their ordeal.
