Bertie County commissioners are pouring over more financial information as they probe possible improper spending by school officials. It's information the commissioners have requested from the school district on three separate occasions since June. WITN received access to those credit card records given to county commissioners and we found trips abroad, fancy meals and clothing items purchased with county money. County officials say their constituents are pressing for answers. The school system expects an independent audit of its finances to be complete by the beginning of November. We'll let you know the results as soon as they're available.
