A teenaged father is facing charges for the murder of his newborn baby.
18-year-old Robert Held, Jr. is charged with the first degree murder of his son.
Greene County Sheriff Lemmie Smith says one-month old Isaiah Held died in April.
Sheriff Smith said the hospital contacted social services because the injuries made the staff think the baby had been abused.
The sheriff said Held lived in Maury at the time of the baby's death. Smith says Held's wife is not facing any charges.
The father has a court date on May 23rd.
