Vice President Dick Cheney is scheduled to visit Camp Lejeune and eat lunch with members of an Ohio-based Marine Reserves battalion that took heavy losses during a deployment to Iraq. Cheney plans his visit Monday with members of the Third Battalion of the 25th Marine Regiment of Brook Park, Ohio. The troops will be at the base for debriefings and then will go home. The vice president also is scheduled to speak to units that recently were deployed to the Gulf coast for hurricane relief work. Forty-eight members of the battalion were killed during the deployment, including 14 Marines killed in back-to-back attacks in one week.
