Destruction and Flooding Along the Crystal Coast

Video will be available shortly.

Along the Crystal Coast, the aftermath of Ophelia is great. Many homes had their roofs ripped off and are wading in flood waters. Power was lost and efforts to restore it are still underway. Longtime landmarks, like the Channel Marker and the Crab Shack restaurants, were either damaged heavily or destroyed. Part of the pier at the Sheraton Hotel was ripped from its pilings and tossed into the sea like a toy. From Bogue Banks to Atlantic Beach, people are surveying the damage and hoping to resume some kind of normal life as the mess from Ophelia is cleaned up.
