Ophelia Packs a Punch in Harlowe

Roadways turned into lakes and trees toppled onto houses. The Craven County community of Harlowe suffered a powerful punch from Ophelia, especially the area along Adam's Creek Road. In some spots along that road, waters rose up to four feet and that was at low tide. Entire trees and tree limbs blocked parts of Highway 101 East and had to be cut in half so motorists could get through.
