The storm may have passed, but some residents along Whichard's Beach Road in Beaufort County say conditions are getting worse. Wednesday night's winds generated by Ophelia blew water from the Pamlico River onto roadways, yards and in some cases houses along the road. Residents we talked to said Thursday afternoon water appeared to be rising by the hour and some are concerned their neighbors are moving their things back way too soon. The water is expected to drain by late Thursday night into early Friday morning.
