Winds Forcing Water Up The Neuse River

The water is rising along the New Bern waterfront. Waves of water from the Neuse River are overflowing and washing onto the walkway that loops around Union Point park. The water is rising due to strong Northeasterly winds that have been whipping up for the past two days. Those winds are pushing the water up the Neuse river and causing the water level to rise as much as four feet above normal right now.
