The American College of Nurse Midwives is coming to the rescue for families who lost their homes due to Katrina. Student nurse midwives from the East Carolina School of Nursing recently activated their annual "Blankets for Babies" campaign. They are collecting ready to use blankets and clothes that are still in good condition. Collected items will then be sent to hurricane survivor shelters in both the Dallas, Fort Worth and Galveston, Texas areas. Boxes are placed on the ECU campus and in other locations around the city of Greenville. Collection of these items will last until the need has ended.
