Five Injured in Two Shootings

Kinston had a violent morning Sunday. Two separate shootings, leaving at least 5 people injured.

The first shooting happened outside of the Cellar Club on Gordon Street at 2:30 Sunday morning. Police say it appears there were more than one shooter, and that 26 year old Darnell Isler, 24 year old Jonathan Allen, 24 year old Pierre Peterson, and 21 year old John Jones were all shot as they tried to run for cover. All four were treated and released from Lenoir Memorial Hospital.

Police are also investigating a shotgun attack that happened at 3:20 Sunday morning at 704 William Street. Police say that 31 year old Corey Grady was walking home, when he was shot by an unknown suspect in a white car. Grady was flown to Pitt County Memorial Hospital. Officials say Grady is in fair condition.
