Finding a job isn't easy. But imagine not being able to see, speak, walk or have the mental capability to even fill out a job application. For thousands of Eastern Carolinians with disabilities that's a reality. But, Wednesday, some got their chance to get an equal footing with other job seekers. Through a job shadow program with the Beaufort County Developmental Center dozens of residents with disabilities were able to learn a new trade to compete with other job seekers. The programs also allow potential employers to spot a new pool of possible workers.
