Some ECU Workers Definitely a Class Act

It's hurricane relief, though not in the form you might expect. Hundreds of desks from ECU's surplus stash are headed to schools in Mississippi that were leveled by Hurricane Katrina. Administrators say it was a logistical challenge figuring out who would get the desks and how they would get there. The idea to donate the desks came from two of the workers with campus surplus. They are humble about their idea, even though the collective donation has the capability to help over 600 students who are currently without desks. While 300 or so of the desks are headed to Mississippi, the company that donated the van this go around is unable to pick up the remaining 300 desks. Now ECU is looking for someone to donate a moving van to bring the second load to Mississippi.
