The lead advisory for Greenville Utilities customers is still in effect. According to the Pitt County Health Department, the latest lead test done by the Greenville Utilities Commission showed the lead levels to be unchanged. Therefore, the Pitt County Health Department is asking all Greenville residents, who have not had led levels tested, to do so. Health officials say as of right now, only 525 residents have tested their water, and about 20 percent of those had levels above E.P.A. standards.
