Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville celebrated Earth Day in a big way Tuesday with a visit from U.S. Secretary of Energy Samuel Bodman.

There was a lot of buzz as Secretary Bodman screwed in a new compact fluorescent lightbulb, the last of 17,500 on base.

The CFL bulbs, as opposed to regular bulbs, are more energy efficient and last longer.

The Department of Defense and Department of Energy have joined forces to make all bases 30 percent more efficient by 2016.
