The opponent of a Republican congressman who posted a video of a Baghdad rocket attack on his Web site says the action might have aided insurgents whose subsequent attack killed two soldiers.

Lance Sigmon is challenging GOP Rep. Patrick McHenry in North Carolina's May 6 primary. Sigmon wants a congressional investigation of McHenry's decision to post the video, which included a description of the attack's success.

Sigmon is a former Air Force lawyer. He says it's important for the nation to know if McHenry "exploited an attack on our military to impress voters back home."

McHenry's spokesman has dismissed Sigmon's demands for the investigation, calling it a political gimmick.

Patrick McHenry wants us all to think that it's something that will blow over. That closeted homosexual's aura of protection is slowly breaking down, and it's embarrassing to see how he tries to look good in all of this mess. It's a good thing Sigmon looks like he'll win lest we have to deal with his troubling actions for another two years.

if the video showed the location of the impact all the insurgents had to do was reaim from that shot. the people that fired the shots probably go into the impact area the next day to see what damage was inflicted. all this did was save them a trip. why risk loosing someone when you can just fire up the old laptop and view it from afar?
