Craven County fire departments had a major evening fire to deal with Sunday. Officials say the call came in a little after four Sunday afternoon, that a home at 1200 Clarks Road off of Highway 70 was on fire. Four departments responded, but the fire was still burning, and three more departments were requested to come and assist. Its unclear if the owners were at home at the time, or if there were any injuries. Firemen got the fire under control around 7:20 that same evening.
