It may be a first in North Carolina broadcasting, virtually every commercial TV station airing the same program, at the same time.

It's happening Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.as 28 stations across the state broadcast a program explaining the digital change coming to television.

"DTV 411" is being produced by the North Carolina Association of Broadcasters and will be seen on WITN-TV.

The 30-minute program details who will be affected by the change to digital TV, and what they will need to do to keep receiving their TV signals after February 17, 2009.

Most full-power stations are already broadcasting in both digital and analog. In fact, for nearly two years WITN has been broadcasting a full power digital signal from our 2000 foot tower near Grifton.
