Flooding Continues In Vanceboro

You almost needed a ferry to get across Streets Ferry Road in Craven County Monday. Streets Ferry Road is located just off Highway 17 in Vanceboro and is currently closed because several feet of water cover the roadway. Residents say this road floods just about every time it rains because the banks of Swift Creek, which border the street swell and overflow. Another reason this street is so prone to flooding is beacuse many sections are low-lying.
