Being a good citizen extends to our four legged friends as well. That's why the North Carolina legislature recently passed the American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen Resolution. Our state joins 21 other states and the U.S. Senate in recognizing the importance of responsible dog ownership. The CGC is a 10-step certification program that rewards dogs with good manners at home and in the community. It also prepares them for unexpected occurrences that might otherwise frighten or surprise them.
