Rain Makes for Messy Drive in Washington

Sunday's rain across Eastern Carolina caused lots of low level roads and areas to flood and the scene was much the same in Washington.
For about a dozen or so residents living along Martin Luther King Boulevard, getting out of their driveway proved challenging. About three feet of water flooded the streets and the extra water also flooded nearby yards.
Motorists along Highway 264 also encountered some flood areas. Near the intersection of Highway 264 and Highway 17, drivers had a tough time getting from one side of the water to the other.
