Drug Suspect Swallows Evidence

A man wanted for questioning in regards to drug trafficking in Bertie County is now fighting to stay alive in a Virginia hospital. Christopher lament Williams of Windsor is hospitalized because authorities say he ingested drugs being sought by investigators with the Bertie County sheriff's office. Lawmen were searching a residence on Bianka Avenue in Windsor when the incident took place. Two other Windsor men possibly connected to Williams, Joe Willie Gilliam and Kelvin Ray Jenkins, were jailed on multiple cocaine charges.
