B.O.L.D. Director Resigns

The man heading Jacksonville's downtown redevelopment effort is resigning and fired a shot at naysayers on his way out. Retired Marine Brian Pensak has been at the helm of "Bettering Our Local Downtown," or BOLD, for the past eight months. Pensak is announcing his resignation, citing family issues and also saying the political climate surrounding issues like the on-going conference center complex was quote "dysfunctional." Pensak told WITN Wednesday afternoon when it comes to people working to better the community, Jacksonville sometimes becomes quote "like a bipolar pit bull." Pensak will stay on as long as possible, as BOLD tries to hire its 3rd director for the downtown revitalization effort.
