Would you believe there is actually one spot in Greenville where the temperature is still in the upper fifties? Inside the "Bladez on Ice" skating rink the temperature is a cool fifty-eight degrees. It's one of the coolest spots in Greenville where skaters of all ages can come out of the heat. But what does it take to keep the ice frozen inside while it's over 100 degrees outside? Owner George Wilkerson says the rinks cooling system only runs about ten to eleven hours a day. He also says that the equipment he uses features today's newer technology, which saves him about twenty-five percent on his bills compared to the machinery that was used twenty years ago.
