Officials Say Water Okay to Drink

Good news on the recovery efforts in Carteret County after Hurricane Ophelia.

Officials with the Atlantic Beach Police Department say the drinking water from your tap is now OK to drink. The city residents had been advised to boil all water before drinking, but that advisory has been lifted. Also on the electrical front, Carteret County officials say that almost all power outages have been fixed, and the lights back on. They say there on only a few isolated power outages still needing to be fixed.
