OBX Dodges Bullet

Along the Outer Banks, Ophelia's effects are not hard to find, but the area did seem to dodge the bullet for the most part. In Buxton, the storm damaged boats, and tipped over some structures. However, to the North in Kill Devil Hills, traffic seemed to be busy, and some people even ventured out to the beach. One wind gust from the storm was strong enough to knock a trailer onto its side. On Cape Hatteras, wind blew sand across the dunes. The winds there were even strong enough to blow some shingles off roofs.
