The price of a movie ticket has steadily risen for the past few years.
And if state lawmakers have their way you may be paying even more at the ticket window. The state's proposed 2005 appropriations act now under consideration in Raleigh calls for the tax on the price of a ticket to go from one percent to seven, as well as a candy tax. A vote is expected soon. We'll let you know what happens.
