Gas prices across Eastern Carolina have stabilized a bit, but now more and more gas stations are putting limits on the amount of gas you can buy. At the Handy Mart station in Vanceboro, customers can only purchase $35.00 worth of gasoline or $100 of diesel fuel. The station's supervisor says the limit is set to prevent people with sport utility vehicles from filling up their tanks, so there will be enough to go around. Gas prices from Greenville down to Vanceboro are averaging about $3.29 for regular unleaded.
