Many people drive for a living, like State Highway Patrol troopers. Troopers with the State Highway Patrol office in Washington monitor roadways throughout Beaufort, Washington, Tyrell and Hyde Counties. With such a large area to patrol, Master Trooper Gaskins says they're taking steps to save fuel. Things like eliminating non-essential travel and limiting idle time of patrol cars. Small steps they expect will make a big difference.
