This year, the five-day conference is being held at the New Bern Convention Center. Tuesday, the Sheriffs were greeted by their boss, State Attorney General Roy Cooper. Cooper took time to praise the officers for their hard work and at the same time reinforced the importance of emergency response, Internet predators, and methamphetamine labs. The conference began on Saturday and runs through Wednesday at noon.
