"In His Wakes"

The only thing cooler than being in the air conditioning Tuesday was the water at Lake Kristi. That's where over fifty children from Building Hope Community Center in Greenville spent the day learning to tame the waves thanks to water-skiing expert and Greenville native Kristi Overton Johnson. Children aged four to 12 hit the water after some special instruction from Overton Johnson and other water-skiing pros. The program is part of "In His Wakes," a ministry Overton Johnson and some of her colleagues began just a few years ago. Kristi recently retired from the professional water-skiing circuit and plans to start a water-skiing camp, possibly in Greenville.
