Governor Easley Urges Gas Conservation

Governor Mike Easley is asking North Carolinians to conserve gas, saying gas stations across the state haven't been resupplied since Sunday, and are starting to run low on fuel. About 90-percent of North Carolina's gas comes from pipelines that begin in Louisiana. Supplies have been cut off because of the hurricane. The governor has also prohibited all non-essential travel by state government workers, and asks private citizens to do the same.
