Man Charged With Sex Offense With Teenage Boy

A Goldsboro man who took a teenage boy fishing is now charged with sex crimes against him. The Wayne County Sheriffs Office arrested 37-year-old Billy Simpson Herring Junior of Forrest Knolls Road on a charge of statutory sexual offense involving the 13-year-old. Lawmen say the assault happened in Herring's car after the two had finished fishing. Herring's in jail under a $100,000 bond.
