NC the Worst State in Pharmacist Shortage

Video will be available shortly.

A new study has found North Carolina is the worst state when it comes to a shortage of pharmacists.

The Pharmacy Manpower Project found the highest unmet demand for pharmacists in the country here in the Tarheel State. The study also found that the state's growing population, a rate three times that of the nation, isn't helping the situation.

North Carolina has a 4.67 pharmacist employment rating with a one meaning there are more than enough pharmacists to fill openings, while a rating of five indicates high demand and difficulty filling positions.
