A call for Red Cross volunteers has been put out nationwide to assist in the aftermath of Katrina. The majority of those volunteers will be sent to Houston, Texas and will be dispatched from there. The organization's Emergency Response Vehicles will be dispatched from Little Rock, Arkansas. All those who volunteer have to stay for at a minimum of three weeks, and it won't be easy. They too will have to endure the hardships everyone else is facing. The Red Cross will also be responsible for setting up and managing most shelters.
