At the Pitt County Farmers Market off County Home Road just outside of Greenville, wellness workers with Growing Up Fit, a program designed to teach healthy lifestyles for children, hosted a nutrition education program. The event was an effort to improve the health and growth of Pitt County kids, something health experts say is essential as children head back to school.
