Bank of America wants to do more than just save, or lend you money. They're getting behind medical experts in their fight against heart disease. Wednesday the Bank of America charitable foundation donated $500,000 for the soon to be built Eastern Carolina Cardiovascular Institute at Pitt County Memorial Hospital. Doctors in the new facility will not only help treat heart disease, but to also educate the public on heart disease prevention. Construction of the institute is expected to begin in January.
