Beaufort County Animal Control Officer Resigns

After over two decades of working with Beaufort County Animal Control, Beth Guthrie is calling it quits. Guthrie turned in her resignation Monday. Guthrie tells WITN that she felt it was in the best interest of the county and herself to leave her position as Chief Animal Control Officer. Beaufort County manager Paul Spruill says he hopes to have the position filled in about six weeks.
