It's a bizarre child rape case in Wilson, where the alleged 12-year-old victim is also charged. Two men, 16-year-old Jerryl Lamar Jackson and 19-year-old Travish Matthew Barnes, both of Wilson, are charged with first degree rape of a child and first degree sex offense of a child. Police say the charges stem from a July 1 report that a 12-year-old girl had been raped. While not elaborating on the details, police say during the early stages of the investigation, detectives found inconsistencies in the story being told by the juvenile. She has since been charged with filing a false police report.
