Authorities say a man from Robeson County is one of the victims of a Pitt County woman charged with identity theft. Derek Gunning of Lumberton first realized something wasn't right when he stopped receiving bills in the mail and saw nearly $500 in cell phone calls from the Ayden area, where the woman was arrested. Gunning contacted authorities immediately and has suffered no financial loss, but lawmen say for many others that's not usually the case.
