Aquarium Getting Ready

Print
Video will be available shortly

Tourists have been missing one very popular attraction on the Crystal Coast this summer: The North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores. The aquarium has been closed for an overhaul, and staffers are working out of a new location in Atlantic Beach. That's where massive tanks are set up to hold new arrivals of turtles, fish, sharks, and other creatures that will go into new displays, when the aquarium holds a grand re-opening next May. When the aquarium reopens, it will host a 305-thousand gallon ocean tank, and also have popular and very amusing river otters for the first time.
