Helping the United Way

What tastes better on a summer day than an All-American hot dog! And, folks in Greenville got their dogs "all the way," for the United Way at lunchtime Tuesday. Hundreds turned out at the city's main fire station downtown as Greenville Fire-Rescue hosted a hot dog sale for the United Way of Pitt County. Three dollars got you two hotdogs anyway you liked em, some chips and a drink. But the sale will also go a long way toward helping those charities that are part of the local United Way effort. Pitt County's United Way will help 30 different programs run by 20 separate agencies through this year's campaign.
